Sarah Grapner

Sarah Grapner is the Choral Director at Moore Middle School, where she teaches chorus and piano. Ms. Grapner has been involved in music since childhood, performing in school choirs, talent shows, musicals, and honor ensembles throughout her school years. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Belmont University, where she was actively involved in several vocal ensembles, such as the Belmont Chorale. She also served as president of Belmont’s American Choral Directors Association for two years, where she brought the chapter back to life after 2020. Her teaching experience includes roles at MLK Jr Magnet School, Legacy Middle School, and Nashville School of the Arts, where she worked with a range of ensembles, and their award winning directors. She is passionate about helping young singers discover their voices and takes a science-based approach to voice and piano pedagogy. With a focus on the biology and physics behind adolescent vocal development, Ms. Grapner meets students' needs with not only anatomical understanding but also empathy for the changes brought on by puberty.
